PTSA President's Message
Dear Parents, Teachers and Highland Oaks Scholars,
Welcome back to school. It is a great honor for me to return and serve the community.
Last year we had an incredible run. Our Board and team of volunteers worked together to put out programs that benefit our children and bond the community. Many HO dads came to the MPR on our first ever Donuts with Dad day. Our various family night programs continued to draw huge crowds. We also invited HO teachers from each grade level to participate in a pilot STEM Mini Grant program that fostered early STEM interests.
This year, the Board is committed to finding new ways and new programs to engage the community, to inform the HO parents, and to make education a fun process for our children. We will use social media platforms and introduce new family night activities. Please stay tuned for these exciting new changes.
We will continue using the HOPTSA page at https://ho.ausd.net >> Parents >> PTSA to provide you information such as this year’s calendar, Board and Committee Chairpersons roster, and documents relating to HOPTSA programs. I encourage you to subscribe to our HOPTSA newsletter Hawk Talk, which is published twice a month through HOPTSA’s ListServ program. If you have any questions or feedbacks to HOPTSA, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or text me at 626.215.4694.
Lastly, I invite you to join PTSA. Volunteer and be part of an AWESOME team to enrich our children’s lives! We have a variety of positions and openings that could use as little as a few hours of your time. Please contact me or our EVP Kathryn Eamranond at email@example.com if you have questions. The elementary years are precious years; you won’t regret it if you volunteer.
I am excited about the awesome year ahead. Let’s all work together and make it happen!
